HAPPY BIRTHDAY SINGAPORE (belated)yesterday: went to Nicholas's house yesterday to study, and i realise 207 is a fun and special class:) well, so is our class, but i suppose we're not as bonded as we want it to be. oh well. zoe, hui si, yi kang, nicholas and me were supposed to study, but oh well, we got distracted. ended up doing random stuff like splits and bridges, shooting hoops and playing the piano, (yikang can do headstand!?). oh and we had a truth or dare, which soon became a dare and dare only. -.- haha, despite the fact that we kinda got distracted, i still got history pinned down. yay. yikang has officially put me off eating duck. duck's tongue. ewww. played dare until we fprgot about ndp, lols. then yikang was like 'why do you have 7 remote controls?' haha. took a long time to turn on the tv. didn't see terrence's performance, but the fireworks were super nice, and the show was great too:) then 8:22 was time to say the pledge, but everyone was eating halfway, so we kinda sat down to recite the pledge? then when the national anthem played, the camera zoomed past Mr President and he wasn't singing. oh well. at least everyone else did. after that continued to watch singapore idol. this is the first time i watch SI. wow. after that went home. thanks nicholas for being such a good host:) today: woke up around nine, only because i set alarm clock. then realised that today is not a school holiday, it's a freaking public holiday, which means that my dad is at home. argh. which also means that i cant go to nicholas's house to study with them again:( well, good luck everyone for commons:) andand yanying thats so unfair, why your block tests end so early?? rawr. go out after my commons:) *btw i am still frigging pissed. well, i shan't apologise for what i am not responsible for, and what i did not do, so yeah. memories of last year's ndp with nhds flooded my mind when i watched the ndp this year. 100 pumps in the parade square, in the middle of the night, the great food we all got, what with ice cream and kfc and japanese and pizza:) those were the fun parts, etched forever in my mind. then there was the props which flew out of your hand when you spun it too hard. then there was gate 6 and yoko-yoko, and the big ships with Di people on them, i remember one of them was kee lui. then the last few minutes before the performance we were all hugging each other and bai4 tai2 shen2, then the person flipped the thing which looked something like a traffic light and... off we went! walked slowly, repeating the position number again and again in our heads, lie down and prepare. HEI HA SHA and the performance was a bang. :) the best part was that feeling when you know that you have don your best and you feel that sense of pride for singapore:) then the finale was also great, everyone was super high and we all ran out and shouted the theme song 'shine for singapore' till we were hoarse, recited the pledge and sang the anthem together, with everyone, spectators and performers with pride that singapore had come this far. after that ther were the fireworks and the songs, camwhored and played games till we all went crazy. yay NHDS:) |
